Revlon Lip Haul & Purse Hook

I bought several Revlon lip products from long time ago, but I never got around posting it... hehe~ My bad and think it's about time I post about it. :X I always say it's better late than never... hehe~ :D
When I saw several bloggers buy Revlon lipglosses in the Limited Edition (buy the way it's not limited at all), I needed to grab some of them since I heard great things about them! In my opinion, I don't think I need to review these since there's so many bloggers who have reviewed it. If you want me to review it, please comment and I will. :)
I bought two, one in #170 Coral Reef. For some odd reason, I could not get the true color of this lipgloss *sigh*. :/ It looks light pink in the picture, but it's more coralish-pink. It's a gorgeous color! :)
The other one I got in #160 Firecracker. This color isn't as popular as the Coral Reef and Lilac Pastelle, but I still dig the color... hehe~ It's on the reddish-orange color.
Both lipglosses come with a sponge tip rather than a brush.
Here is the swatch of the lipglosses; Coral Reef on the left and Firecracker on the right. I think both are true to color more on the Firecracker than Coral Reef. For some odd reason my camera can't seem to get Coral Reef. I'm sorry!!!

In the past, I avoided these Revlon lipglosses because it has SPF. If you're allergic to SPF products, it's probably in the benzone family. Thankfully, these don't carry phenobenzone or any of the benzone family. You will be okay with these! :)

I also bought another Revlon Colorburst lipstick. The first one I bought is in #70 Soft Nude.
This time I bought #75 Peach. I have been into coral/peachy colors... hehe~ I think you can tell. ;)
Here's a swatch of Peach. It's a gorgeous color and I'm in love with it... hehe~ :)

I'm going to end this post with my recent haul from Amazon... hehe~
I really wanted to get a purse hook for many months now. The only thing that was holding me back was not knowing what style purse hook I wanted, as well as, money. I forgot I had some gift certificate to Amazon so that helped a lot!... hehe~ ;)
The purse hooks that I see here aren't foldable, I mean the stores, so I kind of stayed away from it. I wanted a compact one where I can toss it in my purse and then take it out when I need to use it. I fell in love with this when I saw it on Amazon. It also comes with a black case you can put your foldable purse hook in. :)
I took a picture for the people who have no idea how to use this... hehe~ I know I didn't until my makeup buddy showed me!!! :D

Rock & Republic Blush in Tease

Disclaimer: The product mentioned in this post is bought with my money. I am not affiliated with the company nor getting paid to advertise the product. This post is written with my honest opinion.

This past weekend I got my Rock & Republic blush!... woo hoo~ :) To be honest, I bought it for the packaging... lol~ I know that's not a good reasoning but whenever I see pictures on blogs and YouTube, I just want it badly! :X It doesn't hurt that the blushes are pigmented and get good raves from people... woo hoo~ ;) When Beauty Story has 50% off R&R blushes, as well as, $15 (all used up) or $10 off codes(I was able to use this one), I could not refuse!... hehe~ The shipping took about 3.5 weeks which isn't bad for me... hehe~ If you would like an invite to Beauty Story, I can invite you if you want. ;)

N.Y.C. Blushable Creme Stick

I bought this around May and haven't been able to review until now... hehe~ :X
Product Review: N.Y.C. Blushable Creme Stick in #0150-05 Pink Flash (limited edition)

Where can you purchase this: drugstores, mass retailers, and online
Price: $3.99 for 0.28 oz/8g (I believe it's cheaper at CVS for $3.59, but not too sure on that and I had a discount. I got it for a lot cheaper).

Information on the website: Give a natural flush to your cheeks in one quick step! This lightweight formular blends effortlessly to provide sheer, all-over color as well as subtle, shimmering accents, contours and dynamic highlights to your cheeks.

My thoughts: I first heard about this on YouTube and it intrigued me. The makeup guru mentioned great things about this product. I knew I had to snatch one up when I heard about the limited edition one. My first initial reaction is the color of the packaging. How cute is the color! I have been into coral/peachy stuff including the packaging even though the blush is pink... lol~ :P The next thing I noticed is the blush doesn't go all the way down and you can swipe it with the plastic, clear top. If it went all the way down, it would be so much better... hehe~

I swatched the color on my hand and fell in love. It's so vibrant!
It reminds me of Barbie pink. I love it! :) I start off slow on my cheeks and build the color as I apply it. It's better to start light to brighter than brighter to light. ;)

As the days go on, I was pretty impressed the colored stayed on my cheeks. It might be because I have dry skin. I would think with oily skin the blush will wear off since it's cream.

The last thing that went through my head is would I reach for this blush often. In all honesty, this is my second stick blush. The first one I have from Smashbox and I have to admit I hardly reach for it. I don't know why since it would be easy since you can use your fingertips. :/ I have to admit I hardly reach for the N.Y.C. blush as well. I guess you can say I don't like the feeling of using my hands when it comes to applying blush. I need to change my mentality... lol~ :P

Pros:
* N.Y.C.; some products are good especially their lip tint in a tin.
* Pretty color packaging.
* Pretty color blush choices.
* Cream base; good for dry skin.

Cons:
* N.Y.C.; I tend to not like their products or hardly buy them.
* Hate the blush doesn't go all the way down.
* Cream base; wouldn't last long on oily skin.

Would I buy this again: Yes.

Another Mushroom Side Dish (ban chan)

I've been in a mushroom kick recently... lol~ Check out my first recipe with king mushroom. Today's recipe has to do with these type of mushrooms.
I used both of them in the dish. I hope you guys like it as much as I do... hehe~ :)

If you need some guidance with the ingredients, you can check my Korean Cooking 101. ;)

Ingredients:
olive oil
chopped garlic
1 red bell pepper
1 green bell pepper
1/2 onion
mushrooms from the top (don't know the names); both
1 spoonful soup noodle base or soy sauce
pinch of garlic salt
pinch of black pepper
sesame seeds

Step 1:
In a frying pan, I added olive oil and chopped garlic. Once the pan got hot, I added red and green bell peppers.
While cooking the bell peppers, I chopped onion and threw that in.
While cooking, I washed both mushrooms and cut off the bottoms. Then threw that in.
When everything is at the point of being cooked, I add soup noodle base. You can replace the soup noodle base for soy sauce. Just be warned with soy sauce, the dish will be darker. I like the light taste of soup noodle base, therefore, I use that over soy sauce. I also added a pinch of garlic salt and black pepper.
Then added the dish onto a plate and topped it off with sesame seeds. You can eat this with kim-chi and rice. :)

I made this dish again, but I added two more ingredients compared to the top; potato and fish cakes.
The first ingredient you want to do is potato since it takes the longest to cook. You can add the fish cake before the mushrooms. I hope you guys like it as much as I did!... hehe~ :)

L'occitane Almond Delicious Paste

End of last year, I checked out L'occitane outlet and bought a body exfoliate. I bought the travel size to make sure what I thought about it before investing money in the future of this product. I'm almost at the end of this product and I think it's about time I review it!... hehe~
Product Review: L'occitane Almond Delicious Paste

Where can you purchase this: L'occitane store, outlet, or online at http://usa.loccitane.com
Price: $8 for the travel size, 1.7 oz. (I believe the outlet was cheaper but NOT 100% sure)

Made in France

Information on the back: A delicious blend of almond butter and almond oil, infused with crushed almond shells and sugar crystals this exfoliating butter offers perfect exfoliation for the entire body.

Description on the website: A pure and delectable body treatment. Crushed almond nuts and sugar crystals, whipped with nourishing almond oil and almond butter, stimulate cellular activity and gently exfoliate skin. Massage the paste over wet skin to release the nourishing benefits of almond proteins. Skin will be smoother with its contours better defined and toned.

Ingredients:

My thoughts: Before I talk about this product, I thought I would tell you about my body skin. I have horrible body skin and I'm ashamed of it! :X I have bumps on my arms and legs, and no matter what I do they never go away *sigh*. For that reason, I exfoliate and use rough sponges when I shower. I also moisturize my body every time I come out of the shower. If I don't do this, my skin gets worst *sigh*! By doing this, it hasn't improved my skin but it helps not getting worst... lol~ :X If anyone knows how to improve my body skin, PLEASE tell me!!!

The first thing I do with anything is smell the product... lol~ It's very nutty smelling. If you like nutty smells, you will like this. Since I'm not a big fan of nutty smells, I didn't like the smell much... lol~ :X The good thing is the smell disappears pretty quickly. You will smell it while exfoliating but once you wash it off, it's gone... wheee~ I also noticed the smell seems very organic. It seems very natural not chemically made which I really like! :)

The next thing I noticed is how gritty the product is... duh~ :X Of course, it will be gritty since it's made out of almonds... hehe~ :P
You could definitely see the crushed almonds in the paste. The best part is that it's not only for the looks but you can actually feel it. I have tried body scrubs/exfoliates in the past that has a lot of particles, but you cannot feel it. With this, you can definitely feel it working on your skin.

Pros:
* L'occitane; their products are usually good.
* Organic smell.
* Exfoliates; the particles don't disappear.
* Can see the grind up almonds.
* It feels like it's working because you can feel the exfoliation.

Cons:
* L'occitane; their products tend to be on the expensive side.
* Smells nutty.
* Can see the grind up almonds on the tub.

Would I buy this again: Yes, just wish it was cheaper... hehe~

When I bought the paste, they were kind enough to give me a sample... wheee~

They gave me L'occitane Honey & Lemon Delightful Cream. I was really excited to try this sample out because I'm a big body cream/lotion person. I have to if I want to improve my body skin... hehe~ :P I'm not going to thoroughly review this product, but just a quick note for myself. I have a tendency to forget what products I have tried and liked/disliked. I have a tendency to buy things again... lol~ When I write it on my blog, I can come back to look and remind myself. :X Yes, I'm that forgetful!... lol~ :P

Anyways from what I remember, I hated the smell!!! Oh mi gosh it was one of the worst smelling lotion/cream I have tried!!! :X If the smell was decent, I would have loved this product. I cannot pinpoint the smell but it was something I have never smelled before... lol~ In my honest opinion, I thought I would love the smell because I love fruity/citrus smells more than anything but this wasn't citrus-y at all. :/ Other than the smell, it was really moisturizing and reminded me of The Body Shop Body Butter; how it melt into your skin. I review The Body Shop Body Butter and you can see why I love it... hehe~ This cream was very moisturizing and felt great on the skin! Too bad the smell over powered the texture. :X

Check out my other L'occitane products review.

Perricone MD Cold Plasma Winner

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile! Couple of weekends ago, my family and I went to Vegas to see my niece's Tae Kwon Do competition. I'm so proud of her she came in silver for form and bronze for the fighting. :) After coming back, it took a week to rejuvenate... lol~ :X

If you noticed, I changed my layout. I was tired of the old... hehe~ I hope you like the new layout as much as I do! :)

Anyways, now for the winner *drum roll*....
Twelve people entered the giveaway and the random generator choose #4.
The winner is libbeh (heart). I couldn't put the heart in the Excel sheet, therefore, I took it out... hehe~

Congrats and you have 48 hours to contact me with your e-mail address and home address. E-mail me at aly_4realz (at) hotmail (dot) com. If you don't contact me within 48 hours, I will draw a new winner.

Thank you Perricone MD for sponsoring this giveaway! I really appreciate it!!! :)

This is a simple recipe, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to post... hehe~ I hope you like it as much as I love this simple dish!... wheee~ :)

If you need some guidance with the ingredients, you can check my Korean Cooking 101. ;)

Ingredients:
1 bag king mushroom
olive oil or any cooking oil
chopped garlic
noodle soup base or soy sauce
garlic salt
black pepper

Step 1:
Here's a picture of a king mushroom just in case you don't know it... hehe~ After you wash it, cut it into smaller pieces.
In a frying pan, put some cooking oil (I used olive oil) and chopped garlic. After the pan gets hot, I add the cut mushroom. Cook it for some time, I would say 5-10 minutes depending on the heat of the stove.
Once the mushroom is done, I add the seasoning. I add some noodle soup base (I don't like my mushroom dark) or you can add soy sauce. If you do add soy sauce, know that your mushroom will get dark... hehe~ Then I add garlic salt and black pepper to my taste.
You can eat with rice and kim-chi... wheee~ :) By the way, there's other ways to make use with this mushroom.

I'm going to end with a Korean ice cream that I recently bought from the Korean market. I just couldn't refuse posting this cute ice cream!... hehe~
It's a watermelon flavor ice cream.
How cute is that!?!? It's in a shape of a slice of watermelon!!! I get excited over simple things... hehe~ :)
